I had a conversation with a coworker recently about the weather in Seattle and how I was happy it was going to rain a bit because it’s so been so hot and dry and the plants have been suffering. He was completely confused. “You mean the plants in your house?” No - I mean the plants outside.

Creating an inventory system:
- make an inventory node
- relearn how singletons in Godot work
- delete the inventory node
- hook up all the signals and callables needed
This took me an hour and I haven’t even updated the HUD

It’s such a relief to be back as an individual contributor. I don’t have to convince anyone of anything I can do my lil tasks and then side project the hell out of the codebase otherwise.

If your “vibe coding” is 10x your productivity than just using the AI as a simple replacement for stack overflow you are absolutely telling on yourself.
