A reminder that registration is open for this CNB Muscle-tendon mechanics satellite meeting!

Students can apply for the ISB Technical Meeting grant for $500USD to attend

Muscle peeps...pennation angle matters, but does NOT belong in the equation for PCSA. Please, as a field, let's start using the correct equation. We tried to explain a bit of these here -

Ever wondered why cheetahs are so dang fast, but smaller animals, like mice, or larger animals, like elephants, are much slower? Thrilled to share our new study in Nat Comm led by @EvoBiomech & @cclemente4 w/ Peter Bishop. A conversation that started nearly 10 y ago

Thrilled to have our research supported by ALS Association.

We will explore the potential for exoskeletons to assist movement in #ALS. Exciting collab between my team, @SteynLab, @Ngo_Lab, @J_L_Williamson9, Zach Lerner & @biomotum

The addbiomechanics.org tool is now citable!

Automatic model scaling for more accurate inverse kinematics and dynamics, in minutes.

Fun collab led by Karen Liu, kicked off by a survey here :-)

Much improved in past few months. Give it a try!
Illustration of addbiomechanics's role in the motion capture and data processing pipeline. Automatic scaling by addbiomechanics takes just a few minutes, compared to about one day for an expert, and results in severalfold lower errors and residual forces and torques.
