People are too eager to critique representation based on one character. One character is always specific and cannot say much on how a whole group behaves. If it is not a walking stereotype or a representation of prejudice (and characters as well might be stereotypical in some aspects), it is fine.

Well, this is just how it is for the vast majority of media. It's more of a topic for hellaverse because it is so much done by and for the queer community. It sometimes fill like they are under pressure to check out each and every queer identity, which feels silly.

I'm from Europe. It is even more bizarre for us. Whole milk, yeah, it has higher sanitary restrictions. Tastes better (at least for me). People not buy it too much because it is more expensive. That's kind of sums it.

So while what you list is all correct, I'm curious if we are not yet to learn what the actual challenge in his arc is.

About his internal struggles we are in a particular situation because we (viewers) still do not know precisely what these are. We know close to nothing about events in his past. So while stuff like his lack of self-respect is clear we can only guess what is behind it.

I meant it more in the sense his arc requires him to learn to seek for help and for others around him to learn how to give this help so it cannot be discussed in separation. In general Hazbin is very much an ensemble story.

In particular, Hero's Journey is about 1 person, and the point with Angel's story up to this point was he should not deal with this alone. So I don't think any sort of "revelation" and "atonement" fits for his struggles.

But it's supposed to be literal. Hero transitions from the natural to the supernatural to overcome the challenge, then comes back. Myth-like narrative. If we go further on Angel should return to normalcy which... I really hope he does not :P

Personally I'm not a fan of the Monomyth/Hero's Journy. I think it's mostly useless. It's so generic it does not say anything of value and still you must often stretch it to fit. Like here, labelling Charlie as mentor does not describe well their dynamics.

Very true. Politicians have a job o managing how a society works. If someone things small minority like trans people is a problem it means they are not competent for their job.
