I made my first hat for a pirate ball last year and it turned out okay. Now I’m thinking I want to learn to make hats properly and pretty much from scratch. So I’m embarking on my new millinery hobby by ordering some books today. Anyone else starting a new hobby?

It was our first time experiencing the Portland Rebound ballroom community too and wished I had more energy to join their ball later that night.

We had an amazing & emotional time at the Portland QDoc film fest presentation of I’m your Venus last night. This film was about trans icon Venus Extravaganza (Paris is Burning) murdered at age 23. We heard from the editors & producer Jonovia Chase about the inspiration and making of the film.

I’m still waking up in the middle of the night then not able to sleep, thinking about the future. I’m doing a lot of self-care going to bed early and meditating each morning. I’m also trying enjoy simple things, like making Italian Wedding soup from scratch and shopping for shoes. How are you?
