New #research co-authored by Dr Raouf Alebshehy examines the sale of tobacco products near schools in Egypt, a country with an increasing tobacco market and significantly high smoking rates.

The study found tobacco products being sold within 100 metres at almost all schools studied.

Every two years organisations collaborate to produce the Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index.

In a new paper Tom Gatehouse, Karin Silver, Dr Raouf Alebshehy and Dr Mary Assunta from @seatca.bsky.social explain the methods used to produce the UK chapter of the Index.
