So far the only war the US "Dept of War" seems to be preparing for is a war on US cities and random boats in the Caribbean. The enemies and rivals of the US seem to be getting a pass (or the literal "red carpet" treatment, as you say), and the supposed allies of the US seem to be mostly on their own

He has certainly surrounded himself pretty exclusively with deeply unscrupulous people who would certainly manipulate him for their own ends. But a lot of it may be that he's an ignorant and senile old man who watches a lot of Fox News, and he's fired everyone who would try to tell him the truth.

When someone doesn't care at all whether what they say has any degree of truth, do you call that deluded or lying? Are his lies calculated, or is he a pathological liar, or someone who has no ability to discern the truth, or is it just the senile dementia talking at this point?

ICE will reportedly hire contractors to surveil social media platforms 24/7 to target people for deportations.

The information would then be funneled into an existing ICE database built by Palantir (founded by Trump ally Peter Thiel).

If even one of our three branches of government was even marginally competent, if even one had any integrity, this wouldn't be allowed to continue. The question is whether US voters have been asleep at the switch too long for us to recover.

Plus, best case I'm guessing they're shitty tippers, obnoxious to the staff, and leave a mess in the facilities. They just seem like that type. And again, that's the absolute best case, when they're not there to disappear people.

No one can tell whether ICE is coming in to patronize the business or use the restrooms or to randomly and unlawfully brutalize, abduct, and disappear everyone there. I can't imagine why they're not welcome.

It is no coincidence that Trump, Hegseth, Miller, Noem and other members of the admin continue to make inflammatory partisan political speeches to military and law enforcement. They are conditioning them now to embrace the planned war to come - their war against other Americans.
