it's an enchanting cultural landscape, esp in Autumn - people leave, silence comes, the whole country takes a deep breath. It's magic. Rough and sunburnt. Filled to the brim with historic oddities and treasures, fine food and drinks around every corner🌞

I grew up under wide branches, played beneath silvery shade, climbed unto the branches, the beech was always there, hated by neighbors, for it unloaded tons of leaves upon their meticulous lawns every fall- we had a good laugh. My parents died, the house was sold. The tree felled.

A cold day. Rain passed, clouds receded to ragged peaks, exposing the crumbling, yet still proud walls of a #castle. Once home to a substantial library of manuscripts it now lies abandoned, fallen into silence. Into ruin.
