Can’t beat a good cup of Yorkshire Tea.
One of the smaller screenings in Vue Westfield is half-booked. The mind boggles on who would want to watch this vapid (barely-disguised bribe) nonsense.

Dude. It doesn’t seem to be only the republicans (in my view from across the pond). Where’s the Democratic outrage? Where’s their consistency of messaging? I don’t understand why the left can never seem to assemble and communicate effectively - we have the same issue in the UK.

Read the article this morning. It’s beyond belief - and somewhat scary to think what their adversaries can be getting up to without any tracking or investigation. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Hah, LOVE a good paperback! How about this? Dealers choice - I’ll happily read a book chosen by you. Those three titles give a decent idea where my reading head’s at right now in terms of themes (though am also devouring a fair share of comedy/lighthearted material)

Eeesh, that’s the £m question! One Day Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This - Omar El Akkad, The Loneliness of Sonia & Sunny - Kiran Desai or The Names - Florence Knapp? So generous of you, thanks.

I’ve tried to find the post but can’t. I read yesterday that this was widely believed to be ai due to the location (Utah) and the timing of it - weeks after the final actually aired on HBO.

I swear we don’t need climate change - humans are doing a good enough job of destroying ourselves, mainly through stupidity, greed & ego. Also didn’t the Nobel Committee release a statement to say prizes can’t be transferred/shared to anyone else?

It was the same for Celebrity Traitors at the beginning. And it’s also interesting how the secret traitor was nominating Maz every single time.

22 here. Some of them were complete guesses and were correct. Some I thought were definitely correct answers were wrong. More diligent reading needed next year!

With the level of fraud going on these days, how do people not regularly check their credit card statements?

“Middling year”? When there’s been Adolescence, Trespass, 1000 Blows, Murderbot, Dept Q, The Studio, Riot Women, Ludwig, not forgetting all the returning series like Andor, Slow Horses to name a few. Each to their own, but calling it a middling year is nonsense.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree. They're not calling anymore. Ate them.
