Maybe do like Germany. If you have an aptitude and desire for trades start after 9th grade. Same for college. Not everyone is talented for college or the trades. We need to stop putting professions against each other and see the value in both.

No kidding. With ridiculous rules like this my 108 year old Aunt Ruth would be deported to Sweden.
