We have one bottle a week, but we get through several jars of jam, sauce and other glass receptacles because I don't make my own from scratch. No alcoholics here, just lazy cooks.

In our clean house. Cooking only for two. Washing pile vastly reduced. Grocery shopping without the little extras he drops in to the trolley.

My parents have a siding door to the stairs and their dog learnt how to slide it open so dad had to add a locking device to stop their too smart dog from going upstairs.
