Same questions every week. Same answers. ‘Journalists’ and Moyes just going through the motions and ticking the media requirement box.

What is the correct name for a water otter?

A kettle.

Fonseca

Highly experienced. Managed some big clubs and has a high win %. Probably wants to try himself in the PL and is currently available.
We are a big club, moving into a world class new stadium with ambitious new owners. I think we’d be appealing to him.
It’s just whether TFG want him.

That was 20 odd years ago. He took Sunderland down. He's not the young, vibrant manager he was. He's a negative stubborn manager who won four games in 2024 and had the worst defence outside the bottom three. And that with a far better squad than what we have.

*relegation (not reputation. Stupid autowrong).

Had a lower win percentage at Brighton than Dyche has at Everton.

Cried when the Brighton fans booed his side off.

No thank you.

All this rubbish he spouts, Beto had hit double figures last 4 seasons before he joined us. DCL under Silva and Carlo far better and at the time he said it was working with Big Dunc that helped. But Dyche knows best we don’t need a striker coach!

I reckon it's all moot anyway. I think he's already been told he's not in the running for it, hence his statement about not wanting to take a job at a club battling reputation.
Classic sour grapes.
Everton: 'you're not in the running'
Moyes: 'Didn't want it anyway'
Everton: 'Everyone's happy then'.

I agree but Moyes is not the answer now and never will be.

But this isn’t Moyes’ Everton. It’s a patchwork quilt of about eight different managers

Moyes couldn’t get his own expensively assembled squad performing last season, so what chance has he got with this rag tag bunch?

Stop thinking he’ll have us performing like it’s 2010. He’s as spent as Dyche.

Benitez won trophies years ago. He was still the worst manager we've had.

Moyes was decent for us 15 years ago. He's as much a negative, stubborn, dinosaur now as Dyche is. The stats back that up.

The past is the past. Leave it there.

Benitez was far worse.

After the Moshiri years, chaos is the last thing we need.

We need competency and long term thinking. Dyches, Moyes and Mourinho offer none of those things.
January 2, 2025 at 9:51 AM
I trust them when they back up what they're saying with facts. Worst defensive record outside the bottom three. That's the last thing we need. A manager whose team can't defend.
January 2, 2025 at 9:49 AM
The striker can’t score because he is told to stand on the halfway line, back to goal, and await 60 yard punts out of defence, whilst marked by 2-3 opposition players. The best he can do is either win a free kick, or hold the ball until teammates join him in the same postcode. Horrific tactics.

Exactly

It’s managed badly. That’s the difference.

I don’t want Mourinho either. For as big a club as we are, his ego is bigger. It’d be funny at first if we hired him. But he’d cause murder. He’s not what need either.
