She has always been upfront and completely transparent on the content of her books. They aren't for everyone. But this whole moral compass superiority complex thing going on gotta stop.

It takes time. It takes a hurt so deep that we can no longer blame ourselves or work to make things right with the other person. It may appear sudden but I can assure you it's not. It only happens when we have lost hope. And once that happens it's often irreversible.
