Well done to residents on Canada Road and pupils and teachers from St Monica’s for their fundraising efforts who have managed to raise over £700 for Cardiff Foodbank by turning Canada Road into a walk-through Advent Calendar.

🦆 We're calling for action on Whitchurch Road's waterlogged pavements. We want to see the street on the council's list of priority schemes for the next year to get to grips with the most impassable places.

🌳 We're loving seeing all these new trees being planted across green spaces in our area. We'd love to see some new street trees where existing tree beds exist!

⚠️ The interchange slipway from St Mark's Gardens remains flooded and is now littered with broken glass and car parts. We've raised (another) urgent request for the drainage to be sorted to reopen the walkway for pedestrians.

Pavement parking - We're in regular contact with local Police and are urging the council to do more. Rhys recently asked about extending the City Rd pavement parking ban but the council believes it's new parking plan will tackle the problem.

Recycling sacks are forever strewn across pavements after collection day posing big problems for pushchairs, people who rely on mobility aids or those with visual impairments.

Ashley posed a question to the Cabinet Member for Waste Services at council last week, and you can view the response below.

Did you know that pavement parking is only illegal in London and Scotland? The Police can take action ONLY if it's causing an obstruction. Frustrating!

👮 Report it to 101 - www.south-wales.police.uk/ro/report/as...

🗣️ Tell us to share with local Police

Residents often contact us about recycling sacks left across pavements - people with visual impairments, pushchairs and wheelchairs all struggling to get around.

Despite this, few complaints are made to the council.
