That's interesting that they conceptualise their movies as being scifi! And thinking about it, when my brother talks about Gangs of New York it really does sound like some kind of lost steampunk Final Fantasy tie in, so there's definitely something in that!

Watching Streets of Fire is wild, there's no real futuristic or scifi/cyberpunk elements at all but because I've watched so much of the anime/games it influenced first I can only see it as taking place in space or on mars or after some apocalypse!
