A US judge has ordered hundreds of terminated research projects at the US National Institutes of Health to be reinstated, calling the processes that led to their cancellation “bereft of reasoning”.

Judge rules against NIH grant cuts — and calls them discriminatory
The decision means that the US biomedical agency has to restore funding to hundreds of research projects, but the government will likely appeal.

Relying on patterns of disease relapse to diagnose and treat a disease seems so antiquated 📺....out of lack of knowledge: would you start immunosuppression in a patient who is currently in remission, like this study did, to prevent relapse, or wait until the subsequent relapse to start?
Sometimes at #NephJC we are just overflowing with creativity! Check out our twin 👶👶 VAs for the STAMP trial! #NephSky join us 6/10/25 at 9pm EST to discuss MMF vs TAC in pediatric nephrotic syndrome.
