Pro aktuální vydání časopisu Heroine (6/2025) jsem se s Viktorem Elšíkem (@ff.unikarlova.cuni.cz) bavil o romštině. Jednak obecně o jejím rozšíření, o její historii, ale také o konkrétní sociolingvistické situaci romštiny v Česku.

Pro aktuální číslo časopisu Heroine jsem se s filozofem jazyka Tomášem Koblížkem (@tomaskoblizek.bsky.social) bavil mimo jiné o hate speech, o rozdílech mezi ní a "pouze" drsným jazykem nebo o genderových rozdílech v nenávistném vyjadřování.

In my piece for the August (2024) issue of Heroine, a Czech bimonthly magazine, I discuss "the youth language" and complaints about it. My point is that younger speakers, just as, for example, elderly speakers, are just one of many, equal and overlapping, subgroups of a single language community.

Okay...so this has happened 🤩

As to the cross-linguistic spread of NFC constructions, it is interesting to see that they seem to have developed in parallel in different languages. Although language contact probably played a role, the NFC constructions do not seem to be primarily structural borrowings.

In order to capture the aforementioned contact-induced aspects of the development and use of NFC constructions, I have analysed them not as language-specific, but rather as community-specific in the sense of the Diasystematic Construction Grammar framework (@steffenhoeder.de).
