#WIPWednesday from me revisiting my Skin songwriting fic

here’s the intro!
A screenshot of a WIP reading: It was late. Seonghwa checked his phone: 11:29. Hongjoong shot him a text not too long ago telling him to come to his hotel room because he was hit with a "stroke of inspiration" while taking his evening shower. Seonghwa didn't question it. This was par for the course for him, for the two of them, really. It was easier when they lived in the same dorm. He would often find himself abandoning his games to slip into Hongjoong's room for a night of songwriting. Sometimes he would trek back home with bleary eyes and a head full of new lyrics, other times he would crash on the couch. On a rare occasion, he found himself in Hongjoong's bed, sleeping soundly beside him. Their legs ended up tangled when they woke, though neither of them chose to talk about it. Or about when Hongjoong reached out in the middle of the night and draped an arm over Seonghwa's midsection and how nice it was to be held. Even if they were unconscious.

another snippet from my Skin fic filled with Matz yearning, predictable
He inhaled and squeezed the fabric of Hongjoong's sweatshirt. "What really was your inspiration for this song?" His stomach tangled itself into knots, fearing overstepping by just an innocent question. But it wasn't just an innocent question. Clearly, some sort of motivation struck Hongjoong enough to pull him away tonight. Something more than just wanting to make a song. And the theme of it all was not lost on him. It felt like signs were flashing around him, but he didn't know how to move. Hongjoong took a deep breath, looking away as his expression morphed into something more unreadable. "I told you. It was you." "Yes, but," Seonghwa said, trying to push without going too far, "what about me?" Hongjoong bit his cheek, still avoiding Seonghwa's gaze. "Just... you. How you perform. The artistry you bring. How graceful and beautiful you are." Hongjoong had called him many things throughout the years, between compliments and nicknames, he'd never sounded so open in expressing his affection before. Not like this when they were completely alone. "You think I'm beautiful?" Seonghwa looked at him, then, taken aback by such a small word

yknow what. writing is hard. writing smutfic is harder. writing smutfic for a specific pairing for a specific series is harder than that. But I'll be damned if I resort to using ai(thievery imo) to write what I love. nothing can replicate that and I'll gladly do the hard work.
