The attacks on Platner from the supposed left in Maine are something to behold. Every town hall he holds, he’s pummeled by “progressives” for not being pure enough. His time as a mercenary at Blackwater is a deal breaker, as are *any* comments on Israel. And it’s not even 2026.

It seemed as though the reality of the son pleading and agreeing to prison time was not what the family expected, perhaps they had held out hope this wouldn’t happen. In any case we just got a sliver of the conversation as we,the dismissed juror, walked by. I made sure to confirm my parking was good

1)he has to get through the primary against Gov Mills, who will be 78years old at the time of the primary Election Day in 2026. Then he needs the $$ to fight Collins, who will he 73 in Nov26. There’s great excitement around him, but for now the DSCC hasn’t picked a side. I’d say odds favor Collins.

2) as we left the courthouse, there was a family in tears asking their defense attorney why he told the judge their son would take a plea in a criminal case, and he told them if it went to a jury their son would be convicted and serve even more time. I was glad I was just a juror.

1)Yes, in part because there were so many parties saying the other parties were responsible for the dog biting the poor kid on the beach. Personally, I would’ve been Hanging Judge Tebow and found someone to pay the medical bills. I remember the judge saying we forced the parties to settle…

Example, the OJ trial. There was overwhelming evidence beyond a reasonable doubt OJ murdered his wife, but the cops were also overwhelmingly racist, so the jury rejected the evidence and the Juice walked free.
