I'm just now getting around to looking at the State of Frontend survey. I really like tRPC and am super surprised that only 12.7% of people used and liked it.

I am dabbling in some offline storage stuff on an app that I am building and I'm wondering.. what's the best way to sync data from Async Storage to the database? Are people writing their own syncing engine or is there a tool that most people use?

Just learned that the creator of the Material Theme for VS Code has retroactively relicensed it as a commercial product, and started threatening everyone he can find who is using the previous version which was Apache licensed

Totally unrelated, I just published my first VS Code extension

The “use dom” directive is pretty cool however, the idea of having react server components in react native is so weird to me. Super cool but weird
Are RSC & DOM Components the Future of React Native?

React Server Components can be used with React Native since @expo.dev SDK 52, and combined with DOM components you can do wild things in your apps!

I’ve tried a lot of starter kits and this one is the best IMO. I am biased to tRPC and session based auth but this one just does it right.

I don’t typically reach for Svelte, but this UI library is making me want to convert some of my Nextjs apps to Svelte. It’s so clean. The Tree component is particularly impressive.

As I’m looking through this code base, I noticed that they wrap each piece of text in a Trans tag to translate the text to the selected language. Someone needs to create some sort of global translator because that developer experience sucks.

To go through the entire code base or not 🤔

Is this the first open source production app?

Open source?! Well this is exciting.
