Yip they have the refining market cornered, but that’s not something that can’t be overturned given time and money. They have the refining cornered, the raw materials aren’t hard to come by. Australia just opened a plant, has another opening this year and another 2 planned.

Nonsense! Every word of it. 1. Russia is completely incapable of taking Europe
2. Rare earth minerals are not rare. There’s no shortage and China doesn’t control raw materials, they control processing that material.

Any one who being paying attention or has even a limited understanding of the oil industry knew this was economically unviable. They need oil to be +$85 USD for Venezuela to be cost effective. Their oils extra heavy crude and the numbers don’t stack up and that’s before you look at the political

Venezuela’s proven oil reserves are controversial and any claims about them should be viewed with great suspicion. The Orinoco Belt simply got lumped into the “proven” bucket after nationalisation. Yeh the oil exists can you get it all, no way… their price reserves are grossly inflated

Great comment, and I agree entirely. The weight of history is upon but only some are aware. We’re moving from the great peace back to our historical default. Uncertainty, competition and conflict

Russian dependence on the west for oil wells In permafrost shut in expertise is grossly exaggerated. Yeah western oil companies are better at it than the Russian, but the doesn’t mean they can’t do it. It’ll be higher risk, less efficient & on a longer time line but it’s not something they can’t do
