Yes, this. So much this ⬇️
I'm seeing so many takes around parts of the "ID card" melange, I have to add a few.

It's not about cards. It's about registers. A register is a definitive 'true source' of data, about people, places, buildings, whatever.

TL:DR It's a 90 minute bonkers but brilliant roller coaster ride of the who, what, why and how of the French Revolutions at The New Diorama Theatre. Recommended.

Do you or someone you know use assistive technologies online?

Tools like screen readers, magnifiers, voice control, adaptive keyboards, or customisations (e.g., high contrast, etc)? If so, I’d love to hear from you—especially in you're in the UK.

And it's exactly how my day is going! There is a need for a long lie-in today after theatre last night followed by 3 hours singing Musical Theatre favourites at Overtures @ Louche.
My word of the day (and personal recommendation) is ‘snerdling’ (18th century): nestling cosily beneath the covers and holding off the day a little longer.

Morning.

I'm sad to read that @adalovelaceday.bsky.social Live is closing. So much so, I wrote a blog post about it. technokitten.blogspot.com/2024/11/so-l... FWIW, despite the multiple closures of DEI projects in STEM, the work is not done. Well done to @suw.bsky.social for all the hard work put into this.

Word! I haven't completely given up yet on the service formerly known as #twitter but it's a shadow of its former self.
For a lot of us, losing Twitter isn’t really about losing ties to the company itself. It’s losing 10+ years of real, asynchronous communities, professional development, the ability to get gigs and clients, the ability to promo/share your art on an extremely broad scale. The loss of that has impact.
