A software company. It is ideological madness, and no prominent voices are calling it out. Only very strong beliefs that one is fundamentally right and others are fundamentally wrong can fuel movements like this. Only convincing common people that they have been used as a means will end it.

I have worked at a stupid Amazon warehouse for 8 years. Most of my coworkers are immigrants, and most of them refugees. I know people from Congo and Sudan. They arrived here so innocent and full of hope. That only lasts a few months. If there are criminal immigrants, we create them through poverty.

I’m a longtime Amazon Warehouse worker. About 6 years ago, company leadership were surprised to learn workers felt overworked, and moral was low. Bezos initiated a program where employees were prompted every so many minutes to take directed breaks. The employee could choose from (contd)
