TikTok moved US accounts to US based servers managed by a third party (Oracle) to alleviate data access concerns. Oracle will no longer be allowed to host TikTok the same way the app stores aren't allowed to list TikTok. TikTok could move those accounts again but that's probably not trivial

I lived in the US for a while, there were good things I miss but I definitely don't miss the miasma of anxiety that permeates everything over there. From gun and healthcare issues to the news cycle and the way pharmaceutical drugs are advertised, everything has fear cranked up a couple extra notches

Just an experiment to see if cropping in will let me get an upload past bluesky's compression relatively unscathed
