As already announced on the previous session of #ATS, we are taking Kurt to Louisiana. Starting this Wednesday, we will depart from Denver and make our way to the LA state line in eastern Texas.

Griffin has undergone some tuning in response with the Scania R & S update.

He now includes a 560 hp SUPER Engine and the smart dash. Some other changes were made as well including nee grill bars and lights. V8 logos are removed as well. 😎

(Part 1) After loading the 2nd rental trailer with the rental truck (yes, it's an Iveco 🫠) in Stuttgart overnight, we depart straight to Malmo while stopping for a rest in Hamburg.

Our trucks are separately being transferred at the moment.

Rented a some trailers, along with a truck rental, while transferring our garage supplies to Malmo. Griffin hauls most of the supplies while our rental takes the rest and will meet in Stuttgart.

We're heading LA-bound from San Francisco for Kurt's second trip via US-101. I also spent the night in Salinas a couple hours after leaving SF. On the other hand, this was a scenic route to take! 🌊🛣️

Instead of taking I-5 south to Albany, I decided to take a detour and go through Longview, Astoria, and along US-101 to Newport. 🌊😎👍

We like to welcome our newest member of the FJ Logistics fleet in #ATS!

Meet Kurt, a 2022 Kenworth T680 who was literally the same truck (except for the major TLC) which we used to travel to Brackenreach.

He will play a similar role as Vanny, and his first trip will start next Thursday! 🚚😁👍

And here's the full announcement of the European HQ's relocation (since it's a pretty long one):
TechTWP, the founder of the privately-owned virtual trucking company of "Fragilis-Jimmadseni Logistics Ltd," or commonly shortened as "FJ Logistics," is pleased to announce the relocation of the company's headquarters, in Euro Truck Simulator 2, from Zurich, Switzerland to Malmö, Sweden! We are planned to dwell from Switzerland and settle at our new HQ to Sweden right after the 1.57 Update releases for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Why Malmö as the new European HQ? With more map expansions and reworks under development mostly in the northwest (including the Nordic Horizons, Iceland, and the Isle of Ireland DLCs, as well as the ongoing Benelux and UK reworks), and the beauty of the vast Scandinavian peninsula, we think Malmö fits our new HQ perfectly. We have also came up with some pros, while finding some cons. Let's list them shall we? PROS: - Although Malmö alone has one depot less than Zurich, its location nearby 3 more cities, including Copenhagen, Trelleborg, and Helsingborg, totals all of the surrounding depots to approximately 16. Not only that, we can travel to these cities for less than 5 minutes (compared to Zurich's closest cities)! - As a city within Sweden, we have the benefit of hauling long combination vehicles, and that includes the longest of all LCVs: HCT trailers! Switzerland does not permit LCVs. - Not only we would be situated more northerly, we would still be close enough to central Europe, which also includes Germany as a close neighbor once again. - Our new HQ in Malmö will provide far more alternative routes, with 3 exits on the E6 and several roads connecting the city's garage. Compared to Zurich's garage, only one connection is provided (not like it really matters). - We will have a service shop nearby, just like the one in Zurich. Not only that, we will also be close to a recruitment agency. Other services include a bus station and a hotel. CONS: - Although the range of the external market's coverage may depend on the usage of owned trailers, there may not be enough certainty that it will cover all the surrounding depots around four cities. - We have to pay a toll every time we cross the Øresund Bridge. Yes, I had to list this one! - We are farthest away from the deep south, including Iberia, Italy, and Greece. I do in fact adore exploring those areas, but at least we will come back to these regions another time. That's all folks! We look forward to relocate the European FJ Logistics from Zurich to Malmö! Until then, we'll see you on the road later!
