Btw, my first Doctor was Tom Baker, and many years later my daughter's was Matt Smith. (Also enjoyed Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant in the role. I need to catch up on the more recent seasons/series!)

Yesterday I stopped at a big box store to pick up CLR for my bathroom tile and garbage disposal and dishwasher pods that I often can't find anywhere else. And then there was this impulse buy, a jellyfish lamp.

Good morning. It's the start of Thanksgiving week in Chicago. I'm hosting on Thursday, but it would not be the holidays in my family without a little drama, so I'm not sure who's showing up yet. 😆 Regardless, my daughter and I are moving ahead with our plans. We will cook together and enjoy anyway.

As a tech writer who notices micro text & helpful tips, I like this. I sometimes forget how restricted my default settings are & need a reminder. Also I like being able to override my defaults on the fly.

Just finished "Magic Lost, Trouble Found" by Lisa Shearin & starting on Book 2 in the series, "Armed & Magical." My favorite POV in fiction is first person, especially one with a compelling voice like in these books. www.goodreads.com/book/show/23...

Such a fun day.
My daughter and one of my grandsons on our way to trick-or-treat. One of my grandsons heading to a house to trick-or-treat. My favorite Halloween display was back -- the skeleton cookout with flamingoes. Skeletons doing yoga in a front yard in the neighborhood. The sign reads "Really really hot yoga." Thanks to the Oak Park farmers market for another great season!! Just one week 'til trick-or-treat.
Bell peppers, tomatoes, red onions, apples, yellow potatoes, butternut squash and bakery bread from the farmers market. Fresh donuts made special for the last day of the farmers market -- frosted apple cinnamon and frosted chocolate. There was already a long line for them when the market opened this morning. From last year's trick-or-treat, my eldest grandson dressed as **Mario!** My daughter is pushing a stroller ahead of him on the sidewalk.

My grandsons had some spooky season fun decorating pumpkins and cookies over the weekend.
