last night was a bleak one for TX legislature history. dan patrick literally denied senate democrats the ability to filibuster redistricting, even though rules allow it. roland gutierrez asked what precedent there was for this. patrick didn't even bother to answer. that's how the map passed.

I don’t think it’s an issue of polarization. They don’t seem to want to have a good faith discussion, accept facts, or use reason or logic.
Plus usually when you actually make a point that you think they would have to accept, they instead switch to hypocrisy or religion.

LOL this was my experience. I traveled to Dallas to release a new probe test program and when I went to the cafeteria all these strangers kept saying hi to me by name. Afterwards I asked someone and they were like “uhh that’s the tech who’s been helping you all morning.”.
