He has been remarkably feckless since Ed Martin tried to indict him.
Does he have something to hide?

Did she promise not to overturn it or did she just say it was settled law — which it was at the time of her confirmation hearing?

Shortening the period would have preserved the right but called into question the rationale of Roe.To get a majority, Roberts might have needed to agree that the Dobbs decision would overrule it. Someone like ACB would be put in the awkward position of protecting the right but breaking her “promise”

It’s not fair to them. They don’t know what facts they will be presented with. For example, under Roe, the constitutionally protected period was longer than it was most of Europe. Justice Roberts was trying to build a coalition to shorten the period.

Are you referring to the fact that the right to privacy has historically been based on the idea that there is a substantive dimension to the due process clauses of the fifth and fourteenth amendments?
December 26, 2025 at 7:45 PM
I agree that would have been a great question to ask, but I don’t that she or any Supreme Court nominee would ever answer a question like that about any issue.

I agree with her.I am a Democrat and an attorney who is 100% pro choice. There should be a right to reproductive choice guaranteed by the Constitution. But it is intellectually dishonest to say that there is one now or ever was one. This type of creativity is what gave us the Trump immunity decision

Trump may be butt hurt that when Colbert hosted the Kennedy Center awards in 2014-2016 the show drew more than twice as many viewers all three years as it did when Trump hosted it this year.

Um, didn’t you say that there was no credible evidence that warranted further investigation??

This is all terribly sad. It should not be politicized. We should be talking about prevention. I wish peace to her family, the family of the other man who died and the other victims — and to all the families of Sandy Hook and other mass shootings who were reminded of their loss this week.

I suspect that we will soon be told that she was a fervent advocate for 2d Amendment rights and thus it would dishonor her memory to restrict firearms in any way.

Let’s hope they find the killer(s) soon. This is tragic for the victims and it must be very stressful for the entire community.

And all the drug companies will lower the prices for drugs and all my former physician colleagues who trained for a decade and are saddled with medical school debt will agree to cut their salaries and accept much lower rates than they were forced to accept from United, Humana, Aetna, Cigna. Genius!

The most amazing part of this post is that he thinks he is leading “an otherwise normal life.”

I thought there was nothing he could say that would surprise any more. I was wrong.

Wrong. He caved at exactly the wrong time.

Drop the Democratic Party like you dropped Disney+ for Kimmel. You can always come back if you want to vote in the primaries.

The insurance industry wanted the ACA premium support to continue. They get paid per member per month. The subsidies would have meant more people would have been insured.

I don’t know. I think it was a revolt.
November 10, 2025 at 3:04 AM
For them it’s not about solving the problem, it’s about raising the profile of the issue with voters so they can run on it. I am disgusted with the Democrats. Don’t be surprised when we don’t show up and support you at the polls.
