Lots of delays for flights from NYC to Miami this morning…(beyond normal Dec 26 issues).
Pilot (who has flown for 40yrs) said there is a huge spike in private planes flying from northeast to Florida and that is causing a big backup for commercial travel. Said this is highly unusual.

@stephruhle.bsky.social I live in Silicone Valley. This area is one of the bluest areas of California. It’s such a contradiction that Peter Thiel and the rest of his aristocratic ilk are based here. There are MAGA believers here as well but they are not a factor with any local political power.
