This is different. Yes, the government always gets its money, but this sounds like they clawed back money that shouldn’t have been allocated. The CDC instance deals with persons paid per agreement and now the gov’t wants it back. Not the same.

It’s illegal. There is no mandate to re-new a T42 POP, but you can’t terminate one without cause (conduct, performance, or budget) in the middle of a POP. This has been upheld in case law, and the impacted personnel should sue.
