Does the most explosive passing game need another piece? With an inconsistent running game, getting JSN the perfect compliment to his game in Rashid Shaheed is ensuring they have answers for a playoff run.

One of the major differences from being a college OC and NFL OC is how much protection has to be the forefront and how robust your protection scheme has to be
I mentioned this to @tednguyen.bsky.social but after watching Grubb/Chip one of the lessons I’m taking away is to be wary of the college > NFL jump when a bad offensive line is involved
Please blast Chip Kelly every opportunity you have. However bad Geno has been Chip has been at least 5x worse.

Top 10 teams in early play action rate. Cheat code for offensive production.

(Jaguars would be a much better offense if their WRs could catch)

The Steelers have by far the most expensive defensive roster but they are a bottom 10 unit in several metrics. It’s not just players playing poorly.

They are predictable and it’s simply way easy to make them unravel.

Textbook rep of pin-and-pull. Both pullers get underneath the TE and Jonathan Taylor can’t be stopped at full speed.

Hell of a route by Alec Pierce. Sold the vertical and stomped on the brakes.

Loved how Shanahan went from a zone to gap scheme but told a story with their formations and motion rather than just bang their heads against a wall

The 49ers coaching staff is doing the best job in the league and completely outclassed the Falcon’s

Did we actually learn anything about Bo Nix this week? Not really

Ben Johnson continues to put his stamp on the Bears

Another good run game design by Ben Johnson. Imagine just running plays without pre-snap movement.

I know they don’t really need it but Rashid Shaheed on this SEA team would be insane

Nick Emmanwori couldn’t have gone to a better coach to develop him. High upside player with a low floor too but he’s developing into a playmaker quickly.

Sheeesh JKS with a dot on third down with a free rusher in his face. Barely got the ball past the defender.

The Eagles are winning but their offense isn’t playing well (21st in success rate) and they can’t get the ball to AJ Brown.

Sound familiar?

Can they get it right this year or is this offense fated for a 2023 finish?
