Just watched a film titled Invaders from Mars. One of the earliest of the genre that became known as Total Mobilization movies. It is simplistic and naive by today's standards but has a charm of its own. Has become a cult classic I read.

Just watched a film titled Back to Action. One of those non stop action films where no one is killed despite bullets, knives etc. flying about all over the place. The wise cracking becomes tedious and whole thing is meh. Waste of Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.

Just read two Philip Marlowe novellas titled Goldfish and Redwind. Excellent reads. Plots, characters and dialogue all setting the tone for the actual novels that followed on later.

Just watched a film titled Carry On. It was hokum but great fun. Jason Bateman is always a good watch regardless of genre.

Just watched a film titled Paris When it Sizzles. A most inappropriate title as the film most definitely did not! What a waste of William Holden and Audrey Hepburn, two of my favourite actors.

Just watched a film titled The Good Die Young. Excellent British noir from the fifties. Cracking cast includes Laurence Harvey, Stanley Baker and Richard Basehart. Always nice to see Gloria Grahame but she was wasted in this film.
