so you may not know that you can use www.google.com/search?q=%s+... as a custom search url in most browsers to get a google query that both uses the long buried verbatim flag—which respects literal text & quotes—AND doesn't generate the AI overview

imo set it as your default if you still use google

driving to the library this morning, the road was grey—and sky as well, with sickly sprinkle—but lined with streetlights aperch with the cloakdrawn dracula silhouettes of black buzzards. one each, on every single arm, gazing down upon my city commute. that was probly my only dopamine of the day lmao

traditional curricula (like real classes—even if online, or youtube channels that copy that structure) seem still to be the tops, then stuff like languagetransfer & pimsleur. for a more modern form à la duolingo, mango has always been p solid & many public libraries subscribe—so free if you're lucky

—maybe it's a chain of transferring permissions from an old setting that no longer exists, that i had already turned off. like if these new features are all considered evolutions of an older feature & "you were opted in to the old feature" is like a backend justification for auto-opting the new one.
