This needs to be converted to per capita numbers to give a clear picture. Some of those cities have grown considerably since their "fewest since" year, but others have lost population. Unless this is counting metro areas not just city proper.
Good news either way, but hard to tell just how good.

Worry more about India. Nepal's southern border is completely porous and road connected. Many Indians just see Nepal as a renegade province that avoided colonization by collaborating with Britain in the 1857 war.

Nitpick I guess but Buddhists make up less than 10% of Nepal's population. It is 80% Hindu, albeit with some overlap between the two.
