In a recent article, Fingrid Oyj, Finland’s national grid operator, introduced a calculator to estimate potential revenue from the reserve markets with a 1 MW reserve capacity. The calculation is based on actual hourly market prices in the reserve capacity markets.

In December I predicted that the majority of renewable energy growth will be in new markets from now on. While the EU and US will remain technology strongholds, emerging markets such as APAC and MEA will see the most growth.
