This autistic reader enjoys reading well thought out and logical magic systems very much thanks. Sure, it doesn’t HAVE to exist as most people don’t get mad at inconsistencies like I do, but there’s definitely those of us who love every nitty gritty detail and reveal.

I’d suggest confirming pre-existing fear vs bigotry. Most people have a fear of the unknown and the other - propaganda encourages and feeds that fear. That fear then turns into bigotry- but I don’t think it necessary starts with it.

It’s got some good ones - my main issue is that they apparently have video that goes along with it - and you’re unable to disable them completely. I’ve got a 12 year old who just confessed to watching video game streamers for over a year on his account. I didn’t even know the vids were there!

My problem is, even IF I magically ended up being given millions, I’d immediately spend it paying off the mortgages of my friends and family and would suddenly no longer be rich.

Propaganda works. You can talk about agency all you like but it’s insidious and even you are not immune.
