Every fall on the Ranch, Rocky Mountain elk engage in the rut, their mating season. Bull elk bugle loudly, mark their territory, and display dominance to attract mates, with calls carrying for miles. This seasonal timing ensures calves are born in spring when conditions are optimal.

Did you know that on our YouTube page, there is a playlist dedicated to wildlife videos captured on our motion-activated cameras? We're renaming this playlist Wildlife Wonder and will aim to start posting there regularly again.

🌵 Exciting milestone! With support from a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Partners Program grant, we planted 100 Bakersfield cactus pads at Panofsky–Wilson Preserve. Huge thanks to CDFW, Padre Bio, McCormick Bio, & our volunteers for helping restore this endangered species! 💚
