It's amazing the code works at all, though it throws exceptions all the time. The task I've been given is to try to salvage this mess. I'm not even certain it's possible. It's some of the worst code I've ever encountered, and it's not even AI-generated.

Same basic idea, create a thing, throw it away, then do it all over again. This project has **every** bad habit in the book. No subclasses, UI handles the logic, everything public/global, no shared methods, duplicated code, bad variable names, and I'm sure more that isn't coming to mind.

And before anybody says this isn't a huge deal, it's just a minor mistake, you're right. Here's some cursed code I had already purged from existence. Some details hidden as to not leave any clues.

For the non-programmers, the contents of a text field are read as a number into variable i. (Side note, name your variables something meaningful.) The next two lines limit the range to between 0 and 255. And the next line reads the value again, discarding the range limit just performed.

It’s not current, but… Terraria?

For an example of Tahoe's ugliness, WHY IS THERE NO MARGIN BETWEEN THE TOOLBAR THE GROUP?!

I can tell you exactly why. In Sequoia, there's no bottom border here, so no additional margin is necessary. So the answer is laziness. It's the same layout and nobody bothered to update it.

Well the good news is I can make these on demand. So there will be other opportunities.

I’m not surprised at all, but it may have helped me pick up on clues. Not that I want to know what’s coming though. It’s a common complaint of mine that TV is too predictable.

Honestly, as much as I wish “the event” didn’t happen and I have seen some flaws with the sequence of events, if they bring him back, I’m done. They will have taken all the stakes off the table.

An account with a truly random and unique password gains nothing from 2FA, but I’m seeing more and more login systems emailing a code and slowing down the process if you don’t have it on, so I end up turning it on just to avoid the email. It’s all just security theater.
