Thanks! And yeah, this year I've decided to experiment with water inks. Since they pool (rather than penetrate, like alcohol inks), they can retain some crisp edges that work well for semi-lineless stuff.

I mean, you get kinetic bounceback from hitting bare-handed as well. In any case, the armor's powered elements help to absorb the extra force. The same fundamentals as unarmed fighting would apply: a strong hit comes from a strong stance.

It would be possible, but cumbersome in different ways. Between augmentations and armor, Reina has plenty of striking power. The dusters are just an extra edge if she expects to be fighting hand-to-hand.

I need to depict certain bits in greater detail, like the shoes, and the fact that the jacket's collar has a lightweight hood stuffed into it. I also want to design some sort of wrist-gadget for him (actually a little unusual for the setting; it's related to his cultural background).

Multiple people have identified Doc as a Universal Century Man, and that makes me very happy as Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's work has pretty strongly influenced how I think about character design.
