Here's the picture from DESI. I don't think it unreasonable to say that these results favour w_0 ≠-1. The lowest redshift bin gives w_0 much closer to -1.
It is true, however, that that the DESI analysis allows w_a to float; the current DES analysis does not do this so does not constrain w_a
