Since the Olympics are back, it's time to dust this comic off! 🏅

Nes pumps his first, "Wow, what a dive!" Ryan points at the TV off-screen, "That was so cool! He flipped like... five times! He's gonna get so many points!" A commentator from the TV butts in, "Unfortunate. Nobody is going to be happy with that attempt." "Indeed - a very disappointing dive from the Canadian," responds another commentator. The comic hard cuts to the final panel, where Nes is looking down annoyed and confused. Ryan leans forward with his paws clasped over the front of his mouth, staring at the TV with equal annoyance.

I just hit 2500 deviations on DeviantArt, so I made a quick thing to celebrate the milestone! That's an average of about 120 posts per year since I signed up on Halloween 2004. :3

Redacted has a halo above his head, due to him dying near the end of the race (due to sabotage from another team).

I had a dumb idea for a comic, and since it made me laugh, I was required to make it.
The comic stars Nes (a muscular anthro/furry kangaroo with a white tank top and grey shorts) and Ryan (an anthro/furry raccoon in a red t-shirt with a yellow logo on it and tan pants). In the first panel, Nes says to Ryan as they stand in their kitchen, "I'm gonna be busy today, so could you go and grab a new toaster? This one's toast." Ryan snickers as he responds, "Good one! Yeah, sure dude." In the second panel, Nes looks back as he turns away to leave, "... Oh! Heh. I didn't even-" Then continues, rubbing the back of his head with one of his ears pinned down, "Anyway, the toasters should be around the microwaves at Mall-Mart. See ya!" In the third panel, the comic cuts to later that day, with Ryan standing in the middle of the Macintosh Plus Floral Shoppe album cover. He's on the phone with Nes as he looks up in thought, "Yeah. I'm lost. And I don't see any toasters here." He continues, "Yep." Then in a moment of realization based on whatever Nes said to him on the phone, "Ooooohh... in the MICROwave section. Gotcha." The punchline is Ryan confused the microwave section with the vaporwave section, which... somehow exists at Mall-Mart, a bit of surreal humor on top of everything.

Nes turns to look down at Shadow, as Nes's Dad shouts again from behind the ropes, "Nes?!" Nes has a fearful, uncertain look on his face. Shadow's head is tilted up, grimacing in pain with a bloodied nose as Nes keeps him down with his body weight and a hand on his neck. The background is dark, with empty seats as far as the eye can see, and sparkles of camera flashes. The lighting is dramatic with dark shadows.

The sun has set, and the environment around them is turning blue. In the distance are pine trees covered in snow, disappearing into the snowstorm as they get further away from the viewer.
