a sound escapes your partners mouth, one that you’ve heard so often and memorized, but one that you couldn’t understand until now.

“i love you!”

you’ve kept your eye color, and your leaves seem to have some of your old traits.

you try to process, but are surprisingly calm. your body seems to know how to function, you just need to follow it.

you feel a snoot pressed up against your cheek, one that you’ve felt a thousand times.

you wake up, and no longer feel the vine walls moving. they aren’t tight anymore. you find that the end of the vine did detach - you can crawl out of it.

things feel different, you can’t walk normally. something must have changed.

you stumble to the nearby pond. you gaze in. a leafeon stares back

your eyes grow heavy as this comfortable and pleasant feeling washes over you. you feel your leafeon nuzzle you through the vine walls. as you slowly drift off, unable to stay awake, you think you feel the vibe you’re in detach, disconnect. you feel your pokemon’s nuzzles as your eyes finally close

you trust it with everything. you give it a nuzzle and a nod. it very affectionately nuzzles back and takes you in to its vine maw. you feel enveloped with this creature you’ve shared your soul with, safe. it’s not as tight as the vine wrapping, but heavier. softer.

your body relaxes.

it takes good care of you. overwhelming you with love and affection. you feel safe in its extension of self.

during a time you feel your heart beating fast again, you notice it open the vine maw wide- wide enough to envelop you wholly. you look at it, it looks calm, it looks like it loves you.

one day, a larger vine it grows seems to have a maw of some kind. it would concern you, if your leafeon didn’t immediately use it to nuzzle you and show you more direct affections. little kisses, little nuzzles.

pred having a very enthusiastic casual conversation with a smaller friend when they catch a direct glimpse of said friend's face looking up happily at them

so their heart speeds up and their tummy growls super loud, making the pred blush and cover their face in embarassment
