I'd like to say this taught me patience, but I think it's more accurate to say that it taught me to accept suffering and to expect more of it. Life is inscrutable, brutal, and filled with bad jokes.

Before I had a computer of my own, I could borrow an Apple II from the school district, and it had a few games. It had Zork I, II, and III. Which was great because when I was too frustrated with Zork I, I could switch to Zork II. And then to Zork III. And back to Zork I.

Who does that? Who makes a game mechanic whose sole purpose is to make a game unwinnable through RNG? Who does that? Who fucking does that, Sir-Tech Software, Inc?

Not entirely related, but I'm still incredibly bitter about having a game of _Bane of the Cosmic Forge_ that I played on-and-off for years, unable to find a way forward, unaware that it was unwinnable, because I'd jammed the lock on a door.

But bruh, $370

Their voices blend so incredibly well. I played this for my mom recently (she'd never heard it before) and she was blown away.

The movie's amazing, but Helena Rojo was so distractingly gorgeous I lost the thread a few times.

"Night of the Living Baseheads" is one of my favorite songs of all time.

But I'm a tad younger.
