I completely agree with you about training an generative AIs on someone’s work without their permission and using them for plagiarism tho.

And AI might take away some of the demand for custom hand made drawings or music, but it'll never take away their authenticity and beauty. Or so I believe😊 (please I wanna keep making music aaaaaah)

I want to believe AI will become it’s own form of creativity without replacing the beauty of what already exists and that no matter how it is expressed, creativity will always be the language of the human soul.

I could be too optimistic, but I think AI can’t take away the value of art.
Just like being able to mass produce books didn’t take away the value and beauty behind calligraphy. Mass reproducing paintings didn’t take away the value of the originals. Being able to perfectly represent-

Maybe in a world where people loosing jobs where acknowledge and truly accompanied, be it financially or emotionally towards a new activity, we wouldn’t have to feel so threatened by new solutions.
But as is, I totally get it, I wouldn’t want to loose my job to AIs🫠🫠

I agree AI has a lot of potential for automated tasks, stuff one wouldn’t generally care to do if not to support himself and his surroundings.
And big corpos trying to adopt it with little to no perspective is def scary.

I cant help but wonder why?... Why focus on that?

And most importantly (this is what I’m truly curious about):

What are the pros and cons of a defeatist, negative pov?

Why take a negative stance as default and what makes it appealing?

What would define a positive AI from your pov?

And if AI is bad for you, then what establishes the ones we currently as something negative?

Are the AIs really the problem?

Or are the humans using them, and a general lack of faith in humanity the root of all that negative thinking?
