Really impressive histology though, there. It's crazy to see the relatively normal epithelium and then....just this huge ocean of not-reallly-dermis

Ooo, I'm not so sure but let's see if we get close:

1. Gills look blunted with significant amount of cellular infiltrate. There appears to be a round, multicellular/multinucleate organism within the gills
2. Condition - he's sad : (
3. Cause - Fungal or fungus-like organism, comparing to dog/cat

lol gotta say while i've seen plenty of scabies suspects treated with bravecto and ivermectin, i've never seen actual histopath of the thing

Why was a biopsy taken in this case? Did the animal have another condition, or were these research animals?

1. key histopath features - took me a second to figure out what thin appendage had a little strip of cartilage going down it, but that's an ear. there are things living in that ear skin that do NOT belong there - with a spiky little cuticle suggestive of
2. scabies
