I’m sorry I didn’t learn this sooner. I’m sorry I failed.

Not anymore. I’m going to do better, be better. I’m not asking anyone to educate me, that doesn’t feel right. It’s on me to do the hard work.

But just because I’m not racist/homophobic/transphobic doesn’t automatically make me part of the solution either.

I was deadweight.

I’m not going to make excuses for myself. I failed as a human, as a woman, as someone who thought that since I wasn’t racist/homophobic/transphobic then I wasn’t part of the problem.
