Balancing your aging parents'needs with your own isn't easy. As a recently diagnosed LADA diabetic, I have to tell my 88-year-old mother that she can't travel on a bus over mountain passes to attend a family Christmas party. It's dangerous for her and stressful for me. Heartbreaking.
