So I'm told. You have to be without assets pretty much to get Medicaid. Back in the 80s, my uncle got to keep the old family house only if he could go back home for a while from a nursing home. Fortunately, he went home for one day, so we got to inherit the house.

No, this treatment was on Medicare, but my 24-hr home care will be private pay. I'm too "rich" for Medicaid, but that's OK. Sometimes they will take your house later - not for me.

To be brief,the rehab center lied to me and said that a particular home care agency could provide me with 24-hour care, yet when I got home they said, no, sorry we don't do that. Sorry I can't explain any further right now.

2/2 Maybe she's mad because I forgot her name in the middle of the night when I called to her, but I apologized. Anyway, so I stayed up at 4:00 and now I have to wait another hour for somebody I know to come spell her. And I am SO groggy.
