Pt15 Climate Action Snowshoe Expedition is up on Patreon.
I discuss getting asthma from the summer 2019/20 fires and finding out 6mths later in the middle of a remote section of the alps. The physical costs we suffer because of government inaction on climate change.

This civilisation is the product of ecological fraud: stolen habitats, exhausted resources and exterminated species. Economic growth itself is an illusion given that it is merely the result of a series of heists that bankrupted the planet.

Civilisations collapse because they don’t even know what a collapse is. It is simply not in their DNA to understand it

Feels like more than 2yrs of Israeli oppression on Palestinians. Feels more like decades.
Jewish youth camps in Australia have been teaching them how to kill Muslims since last century.

“Baudin’s or bauxite – we can’t have both”

It’s a stark warning … but Alcoa’s proposed expansions to its bauxite mining in WA’s jarrah forests will be catastrophic for the endangered Baudin’s black cockatoo.

Marinette!!! Please get through. Only 1 left sailing. Gaza desperately needs the siege broken. Felt so impotent just watching. Our government shames our nation for its lame concerns when it could have acted to stop the genocide at any time.

I missed the @birdlifeoz.bsky.social webinar last night because I was in this pub chatting with locals about climate change.
This pub took me down memory lane. In 1989 4 friends and I rode our pushes from Cooma to Corryong, via Cabramurra, for Duke of Edinburgh Awards, camping here on the way.
130 year old Tooma Inn at the western foothills of the Australian Alps. A classic pioneer style brick building with a generous patio between rooms at either end. 2 entry door in front. A few green shrubs. Brickwork freshly painted light cream. Dark red corrugated iron roof. 2 chimneys at either end. Telstra phone box, with orange roof, out the front. A locals farm vehicle next to the phone box. Large, old disiduous tree about to bud for Spring. Blue sky and clouds above.

Thank you. I appreciate your support. I'm saving up to buy him out. I want control of the book about the walk around Australia. If can sell 2000 copies it covers all his publishing costs. If i buy those i can sell at markets 🔥

He gives me really bad anxiety. He took advantage of it being my first book and gave me an unfair deal. I didn't know until talking to other authors. I actually feel scared to talk to him. I might not control my anger and loose royalties along with already losing the rights to my story.

I can't sleep. Thinking about the fact my publisher hasn't paid royalties since 1 month after my book was published in June last year + no Lending Rights payment. 1000 copies sold and it is in libraries. My royalty % is a small, meezly single figure, but I still need it. I've made less than $500.

I couldn't decide between these favourite adventure roads.
Snow covered road along an alpine valley. Two snowshoes walking along it. A treeless valley due to being a frost hollow. A dog and human walking through an alpine forest along an old 4WD bridle trail. Two hikers trekking along a farm road, through bushland in the mountains. An old alpine road going through a creek, up into the mountains. Purple summer lupins growing beside the road. A hail storm coming in.

Native forest logging must end in order to reach Labor’s emissions reduction target, expert says!
The authority’s advice was clear that “even Labor’s bottom-of-the-range target of 62%” could not be met unless old growth logging, AT A MINIMUM, ceased.

I didn't watch The Assembly when it first came out. Being autistic with high empathy i can find it emotionally overwhelming to watch these types of programs.
Tonight I watched S1 E1 & 2 and absolutely it!
The journalists are the stars of this show.
