My years as a retail manager, single parent, and family caregiver are shared by tens of thousands in South Jersey—over 70,000 work in retail, sales, or admin roles, nearly 30,000 households are single-parent, and one in four adults provides unpaid family care. (2/3)

As I've said before, we do not have a money problem in this country; we have a priority problem.

South Jersey deserves leadership that fights for real, affordable, comprehensive health care, not politicians who suddenly care only when their seat is in danger. (4/4)

The only reason we do not have them is because we continue to elect politicians who refuse to make them a priority, and instead prefer to spend their time protecting the interests of our for-profit healthcare industry.

Van Drew keeps shouting “fraud, waste, and abuse,” yet offers no proof. Meanwhile, Donald Trump pardoned some of the biggest Medicare and Medicaid fraudsters in history, and Van Drew stayed silent.

It would also make it harder for future nurses, therapists, and care workers to enter these professions by limiting their access to federal student loans. I will fight any policy that undermines the people who helped me care for my mother in her final year and who care for all of us every day. (4/5)
