Those who DO share my interests? A minimum of an hour and a quarter away, and many further than that. There was a time I could lay a claim to some sort of tribe of my own. An act of alleged mercy stretched that to its logical limit and left me stranded and alone.

EA started out as an indie publisher, and back then I was a fan. Now, they have a fervent enough customer base; they don’t want or need my support.
The pending demise of EA is welcome news, but “choking on money” isn’t how I thought it’d play out.

Seconded. The cast for Campaign 4 is a huge ensemble, with quite a few heavy hitters, and I absolutely count Ms Iyengar among them.

Thanks. It’s good to know your thought process on this. I think a lot of other people wouldn’t catch the literary reference either, and just flop back to the old “appeaser-in-chief” narrative.

Because to at least some of their sucker— er, constituents, the branding of “democracy” still carries some cachet, even as they’re doing their damndest to take the brand out behind the woodshed.
